All That Work… First Competition for the BRZ

Strong Debut in Subaru BRZ Positions Bakchis 5th at Formula Drift Season Opener
(Wrightwood, CA) - Formula Drift competitor Aurimas “Odi” Bakchis debuted his newly constructed Feal Suspension GT Radial Subimods BRZ at the Formula Drift season opener in Long Beach, California and impressively finished 5th overall for the weekend.
Bakchis’ move to a Subaru chassis came after 15 years of successfully building and competing in Nissan chassis, having earned multiple event wins and podium finishes in that time. As a seasoned car builder and decorated driver, Bakchis did not disappoint fans and earned high scores by demonstrating the potential and prowess of the new competition vehicle.
Bakchis qualified 10th on Friday and advanced on to the bracket tandem competition on Saturday. He competed against fellow Feal Suspension teammate Conor O’Sullivan in the Top 32 competition and advanced on to the Top 16 main event against Ben Hobson. Bakchis was later eliminated in the Top 8 bracket after an impressive one-more-time battle with Feal Suspension teammate Jack Shanahan. The technical execution in the chase position against Shanahan earned Bakchis the “Cleanest Chase of the Night” award.
Known for aggressive chase skills and consistent lead runs behind wheel, Bakchis proved that he will continue to be a top contender in the championship race in the BRZ this season. He is grateful to his team and sponsors for ongoing support throughout the construction of a new race vehicle and the racing season. Bakchis will be one to watch as the season progresses with the next event at the iconic Road Atlanta track in Georgia on May 7-9.
